Buzz, I just remembered this story. Ruling party to consider selling U.S. bonds to aid banks Copyright c 1997 Nando.net Copyright c 1997 The Associated Press TOKYO (December 7, 1997 6:41 p.m. EST nando.net) -- Japan's governing party plans to look into selling some of the government's holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds to assist Japanese banks that are having trouble obtaining dollars, media reports said Sunday. A story like this earlier in the year caused the dollar and market to drop. Maybe this time with the dollar so strong, the market will shrug it off as just another false alarm. Charles
