Bob, THC - you are both bringing up valid points, but at the moment nobody has much info about Komatsu (even CYMER management talks about a "black hole" - look at CC transcripts), so the discussion is largely academic.

No doubt, CYMER does not have a natural monopoly, only a limited manpower and initial pilot installations never go smoothly - let us wait until the next earnings report or additional news releases before continuing...

Regards,

Y

Robert: Very interesting research you have done here. I believe
you are wise to look at possible underlying motivations. Your
point is well taken. After all THC did make a point of how critical
appearances are to the public (Semicon post). Your comments are fair.

Bruce

Robert, I see no wisdom in your accusation of THC. I have gone back and looked at the posts. He seems to me to simply be yet another soul who is wondering why the market doesn't buy the wonderful story being painted by those on this thread with myopic enthusiasm. As I've said before, I have been tarred with the same brush, without any justification. I have the financial scars to prove how I feel about Cymer, and I can tell you without any hesitation that I wish I didn't.

Consider the following:

(1) You don't know what THC's motives are.

(2) I think it a low probability event that he (or anyone else) is some agent of short interests.

(3) Even if he were, and even if he motivated 50 people on this thread to sell their shares, what damage would they do? How many individuals did Craig need to get 1% of the shares outstanding, and how many shares trade on the average day?

(4) Do you really want to play a central role in a witch hunt that casts slurs on the character of others?

By the way, THC IS right about one thing. People in the West have no idea about the importance of "the right appearance" to Asians, and that includes the appearance and 'way of doing business' at trade shows. If a sizeable percentage of Cymer's customers are going to be fab foundaries in Korea, Taiwan and Japan, then Cymer would do well to treat those potential customers the way they expect to be treated at these events, and if that means pretty girls in mini skirts, then that's what it means. There was a movement in Hong Kong to restrict the sale of cigarettes. The biggest opponent to the move was the business community, which argued that distributing free cigarettes was such an integral part of 'the business meeting' that business would suffer a great deal if cigarettes were banned. As ridiculous as it sounds, its true.

You are a good man and a vital source of information for this thread. This is a tangent that does you no credit.

Folks, I believe both Bob and THC are very important information sources for this thread. Let's not fight each other personally, instead, we should all try to bring out your belief, thoughts, and information. There are longs, shorts, puts, calls. But let's be honest. If I bought stock and have puts at the same time, admit it. There is nothing wrong for being short or long. In this sense, I salute Zeev since he honestly admits he has puts at $20, which is equivalent to short position (wish the stock going down).

In reading the past threads, I too feel suspicious myself about the motivation of some of the posters. But IMO, as long as your state you are long, you go ahead bring good news; at the same token, if you are on the short side, bring your side story and let's have a debate. We all value each other's opinion.

Keep the good posts coming, folks.
