Mr. Schizophrenic Macpherson , reading the tone of your posts
reveals a personality that changes from one week to the next .
I suggest you see a psychiatrist to deal with your problem .
Don't worry about AMD survival , its future was secured when it foresaw the present situation of extreme competition reaching into the CPU field . They designed a processor that would equal or beat Intel's
offering but in a lower cost framework . In case you haven't noticed Rod , the big issue right now is not whether co X has 4.5% better perfomance . The main point is , How much does it cost to produce and how much cost is the infrastucture (i.e. Mboard).
In this area as the recent PC mag pointed out AMD is in the lead .
When K6 is fully converted to .25 the estimated cost per die is under $30 , how does Intel compare ?
regards , Brian
PS I have a feeling (cant tell you why) that not only is AMD's
.35 giving good yields but the .25 is also doing very well .
