This Iranian born professor & author Reza Aslan,we find a true tempest embroglio has really been ignited over his latest historical look at Jesus: Zealout The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth . Apparently an accusatory Fox News interview was percieved as a controversy that went full tilt in his favor, went viral & made him an overnight media star, pushed his book into the top selling slot on Amazon. Reading some of the 1star reviews vs the 5star is quite entertaining, funny how he times they are a changing. I find the timing of this rise more than interesting also that he is named after C.S. Lewis main character from Narnia the Jesus figure head, that is serendiptious enough. amazon.com Yes, lets all have some fresh lively debate, bring it into the open, he seems very spirited & up to the challenge, schooled by Catholics at a time it was better that he passed himself off a mexican here on the advice of his Catholic school teachers. The times they are a changing, he seems to have written a fairly good body of thoughtful reasoned work, worth more investigation. Something of a smart young hybrid Islam/Christian Joseph Campbell, the young man has very bonfide credentials with four degrees two in religion with a Master of Theological Studies degree from Harvard Divinity School, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa's Writers' Workshop, where he was named the Truman Capote Fellow in Fiction. Aslan also received a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology, focusing in the history of religion, from the University of California, Santa Barbara en.wikipedia.org

Thanks to Fox News, this young professor Aslan & his latest book recieved publicity you couldn't begin to pay for. Breibart.com is offended he uses the 4 letter vernacular rather well , this is really looking like its going to be some lively times ahead, long overdue conversations on religion which the fundies on both side aren't proly ready to endure. What a world, but the whiners are finding themselves on the recieving end now, listen to them :"Howl".

Here's the Fox News interview with Prof Aslan, it strikes most thinking people immediately as one of the dumbest interviews but being their typically stupid slanted selves, along with Glenn Beck recently was just wondering when Fox was going to step into the "big reveal" . Thanks to brummy for sharing, didn't have to wait long but only a day, how fun is that, brummy gets a recommend finally! ;0) Fox News subsists on insulting the American intelligence on a continual basis but that irony is Americans just eat it up with abandon, its impossible for me to watch the network for more than 1min at a time so this interview is a rarity but was worth the watch. Just love to see the universe self correct, have a feeling Fox will soon start to self destruct, as a network they truely suck, are very good at sucking, and far behind the bouncing ball now. This babe, is no journalist, but few are on Fox, like O'reilly & ex-clown Glenn Beck, Hollywood couldn't cast these silly characters any truer. This fellow will be able to hold his own to all clown comers, including Lane Craig & the other wildbeasties & right wing drones.

The funniest part is that FOX was so clueless of the potential aftermath, that later they couldn't figure out why Aslan's book jumped so high in sales after the interview. Or why the interview brought so much ridicule to FOX. Or why their later 'justification' interview failed. And again we see Republican bubble-think strikes them all over, again and again. (Tensions are rising though in the world of the ME, this must be addressed but not by the idiots at Rupert Murdoch's Fox)
