Both WYFF NBC Greenville and Fox Carolina censored the race of the perpetrators in near fatal mob attack. by Kyle Rogers topconservativenews.com A mob of “men” brutally attacked Gideon Hackett, a white male, and then attempted to shoot him execution style in the face. The gun jammed, saving his life. Fox Carolina censors the race of the perpetrators and downplays the vicious hate crime. The thugs who committed the attack are black, but the media doesn’t want you too know that. Fox Carolina portrays the man as a victim of “poor lighting.” WYFF NBC Greenville portrays the man as a victim of a bad curfew policy, even though the perps are believed to be between 18-25. Fox Carolina treats the crime like a simple robbery, and deflects from the real issues by making “poor lighting” the main focus of their coverage. The extent of the physical violence vastly outweighs any financial gain from the victim’s possessions. A desire to commit violence, not robbery, is surely the main motive. The victim had already given the perps his possessions before they pummeled him and attempted to shoot him. The “robbery” was already over. Fox Carolina’s Adrian Costa says the attack could have ended the victim’s life. I called the Fox Carolina news department and was told that the station has a policy of not identifying the race of crime perpetrators, if “race is the only physical description they have.” The woman who answered the phone initially claimed that it must have been “too dark” for the victim to identity even the race of the perpetrators. After some haggling she went to talk to a superior and came back saying that the race of the perps was censored from the story on purpose. She admitted that the police report would have at least listed the race of the perpetrators. Once again, we see a media outlet placing political correctness over public safety. You can call the Fox Carolina newsroom at 864-213-2121. Tell them to report the real story and stop putting the public in further danger by censoring the news. On a side note, the Council of Conservative Citizens once contracted to run a commercial on Fox Carolina. The commercial was for a protest rally against the Senate Amnesty bill in May of 2006. The station agreed to run the ad. The ad was a thirty-second spot with a waving American flag and spoken directions to the location of the protest rally. The ad was supposed to run the morning of the protest rally. Fox Carolina cancelled the ad about an hour before it should have aired. No explanation was ever given. The station simply refused to return anyone’s phone calls. Adrian Costa was on the road, so I could not talk to him directly. WYFF NBC Greenville also censored the race of the perpetrators. In the past I have also talked to the NBC Greenville newsroom as well. They admitted to having physical meetings to decide which crime stories in which race could be censored. Previously this website reported two virtually identically NBC Greenville news stories. One had a black perp and race was censored. The other had a white perp and race was given. We were told by the NBC Greenville newsroom “we omit race on a case by case basis.” Imagine if the races had been reversed. This would be a major news story and the headlines would scream “racial hate crime.”
