what you are talking about is just a small subset of government spending.
More proof that you and SilentZ take pages from the same lame playbook.

The sequester was just 2-3% of the federal budget, but Obama went all across the country telling us just how bad it was going to be. Turns out he was wrong, and the economic recovery is proceeding just fine with the sequester.

So you don't have to pretend that $1.5B/year is "no big deal" when Obama himself considers a cut of 2-3% to be a "huge deal."

Either way, it's not how much or how little the aid to Egypt is. I wouldn't mind at all if Obama actually showed some leadership. Then that money might actually mean something. Instead it's a complete waste.
