Z,
The devil you know...
... is in the details? No shit Sherlock!

I skimmed through the e-mails that the Obama administration released regarding the Benghazi attacks. Although they don't tell the full story (not that I expected Obama would release all the e-mails), they did convey the unmistakable impression that there were many parties and many agencies trying to get their say into the ill-fated talking points memo, and that there was a LOT of dialogue back-n-forth over how to address the attacks to the public.

In the end, however, the Obama administration and the State Dept. blamed a stupid YouTube video for the attack, and they ended up looking like sheer morons. Now they're stuck having to deal with Republicans who are going for the jugular as well as the press who have been asking themselves how the administration could have been so wrong over this terrorist attack. Let's not forget about the current reports that Al Qaeda is not only stronger than before, but also likely to attack again. (They're probably laughing their asses off knowing that they can spook us into closing embassies all across the world just by talking to each other.)

So yeah, the devil is in the details, but we have a president who is completely unwilling to stare him in the eye. You know, The Great Slayer of Osama Bin Laden. You claimed that you are just happy we're not flinging bombs at the moment, but if this sort of incompetency continues, we may end up having to do just that.
