I have fought for affordable housing as much or more more than any single person in my community. I spent 3 hours last Friday with the new planning director advising him on exactly what we must do which is dramatically increase densities and provide for more townhouses and condominiums, as lots are way to expensive and too few. The new Planning director phoned me again Monday to go over my recommendations as he has to turn his entire department around. And I have penned numerous articles on affordable housing which have lost me business because the rich are afraid it will lower the value of their homes . I am done with doing that. I have spent my entire life trying to help the poor.
