F. Jay: Thanks for your post. Hope you will post more often. There is the concept of a primary AIDS enteropathy (intestinal autonomic neuropathy), characterized by severe diarrhea, malabsorption, and the lack of identified intestinal pathogens (microsporidia, isospora, etc.). HIV has been identified in biopsies of the duodenum. Thus, HIV patients can have several causes for having diarrhea, including HIV meds.
