You are right Billy - however, before we get too excited I think we should wait to hear what Rarebird thinks of the economy currently in New Orleans - No Divicom story on the headend??? Good Luck.

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 1997--DiviCom Inc. (NASDAQ:CUBE), a
leading provider of digital video networking solutions, today announced that BellSouth
(NYSE:BLS) has selected DiviCom compression technology for its new all-digital wireless
television service introduced this week in New Orleans.

BellSouth's americast(TM) programming service offers viewers more than 160 channels of national
and local programming, as well as movies on command. The americast programming service is a
result of a partnership of BellSouth, Ameritech, GTE, SNET and the Walt Disney Company.

BellSouth's state-of-the-art digital transmission center is built around DiviCom's MediaView(TM)
video encoder and multiplexer systems, which compress and combine the video signals for
maximum transmission efficiency.

"DiviCom is committed to building flexible products that meet our customer's needs," said Tom
Lookabaugh, senior vice president and general manager, DiviCom Inc. "With our help, BellSouth
can now offer its customers greater programming choices with high-quality pictures and
CD-quality audio. We are proud to have been selected by BellSouth to help bring the future of
digital television to New Orleans."

BellSouth's New Orleans launch represents a major step in the company's plan to deliver home
entertainment service to its customers. In 1998, BellSouth plans to begin offering its home
entertainment service in areas covering more than two million homes in Atlanta, Orlando,
Jacksonville, Daytona and Miami.

DiviCom Inc.

DiviCom develops and integrates products that make digital video networking possible. Products
include audio/video encoding and decoding systems, and integration consulting and implementation
services. Based on the MPEG-2, DVB and ATSC international standards, DiviCom's products
enable digital video broadcasting over a variety of networks including satellite, wireless, fiber and
cable.

DiviCom is a wholly-owned subsidiary of C-Cube Microsystems Inc. (NASDAQ:CUBE), and
both companies are based in Milpitas. C-Cube is the leading provider of digital video silicon
solutions for the communications, consumer electronics and convergence markets.

DiviCom can be reached by phone at 408/944-6700, by fax at 408/944-6705, or via the World
Wide Web at divi.com .

Note to Editors: BellSouth's new digital wireless system in New Orleans is comprised of products
from both DiviCom and its parent company, C-Cube Microsystems. DiviCom provided the digital
video compression and network management systems located at the headend -- the "central
station" or office where the programming is transmitted to customers' homes.

BellSouth subscribers receive the programming through Zenith's digital settop box, which is based
on C-Cube's Flare system-level settop design and the AViA chipset.
