Irene, Reguarding inventory, Claires will always have some clearance items, Nature of business. However they must be able to spot trends ie... currently cosmetics are hot and have what the kids want. I went shopping yesterday and their were 14 people in the very small store. Most perple are not aware that Cle will start catolog sales on or about Feb which will include mostly clothing. They have a mailing list of 2 million .. the list is from customers who had ears pierced. The infastructure is in place to do this ....they have a huge distribution center in Chicago. I have a good feel for this stock and at 19 the stock is a good value for long term investors...I have no idea if this is a low area....However at about 13X next year 12 moths earning est of $1.40 the stock at 19 offers excellent value... AL MORFORD almo1@visi.com PS The stock buy back is not a real issue...unless the stock is oversold like in FEB of this year company will not buy back stock. The company has had 3 buybacks and bot very few shares. Chairman prefers not to buy back stock unless very oversold. I didn't like the way they made the announcenent... but this shall pass.
