Electric cars are coming down, did you ever buy yours?

Listen, inflation at its current level is hard to get excited about... The sky is not falling. In fact its probably too low. You were around in '79-'81 when it was running 10-15%. I had a 16% mortgage. You'd spend your paycheck as fast as you could, because the next day it was worth less, a lot less. THAT was stagflation, not this. And there was a wage-price cycle that looked impossible to kill.

Don't be so cynical. One war is ended, the other is winding down. The budget is moving the right direction, the trade balance is moving the right direction. Renewable energy is moving the right direction, as is fuel efficiency, and we should be net energy exporters in a few years. Americans are saving more, the housing market is recovering, and GDP and job growth are improving. Crime is way down, our cities are in revival mode (albeit at the expense of the suburbs). Soon some 30 million more Americans will have health insurance.

Lots of good things are happening, and as always some bad things. But I think we're headed in the right direction. And a good percent of that is due to the Obama administration.

It's ok to focus on improving the bad things, but don't lose sight of the big picture. It's not the end of the world, and the "impending doom" attitude gives you a negative bias that colors everything.
