Kerm / Barrington

Did you notice the activity on BPL on Friday Dec 5. It traded 838,300 shares and closed up 0.45 to 4.70 with an intra-day high of 4.90. I expected to find something on BPL in the financial press but there was not a word or at least I couldn't find it.

According to the FP there were 3 block trades all crossed by First Marathon for a total of 631,000 shares. That implies that non block trades equaled 207,000 which is not high but is a little higher than the average lately.

Now I consider BPL cheap at these prices and now I'm wondering if someone also feels the same way. They have had a very successful exploration program so far this year with 3 or 4 new pool discoveries and their 98 activity will expand on these discoveries.

Have you heard or read anything on Barrington or is this activity just year-end mutual funds shuffling ?

I'm very interested in seeing the new reserve estimates for BPL in Q4 and 1997. They should be decent and will definitely add to NAV.

Cheers and good investing
