you ever been to Newark ? lock your car, oh hell that won't work, drive to Newark with no tires, might as well that's how you will be leaving ..........North Ward used to be mostly ethnic Italian.....was not bad at all going back 30 years.....the Ironbound is largely Portuguese............the rest of the city...........well... enough said.

I grew up on the outskirts of Newark (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth). At that time, there were 'bad sections' of Newark, but most of the city was very safe. I can remember taking the bus downtown to do Christmas shopping with my girlfriends, or heading downtown to one of the bigger soda shops. We were never afraid for our safety. Today I wouldn't even want to drive through those same areas in a locked car. Just goes to show what fifty years of democrat rule can do.
