What we need to know is what percentage of two parent families their were before 1960 and what percentage afterward? For sure it goes from higher to lower. There are probably lots of reasons for that, but probably one of the reasons would be the availability of welfare for single unwed mothers. If its true, its due to drugs and gangs.......not welfare. But you don't really know this. You are just asserting it argumentatively. Yes, I do know this.....for a whole bunch of reasons. Your fixation is the typical white fixation..............'my hard earned tax dollars are carrying the dreaded THESE PEOPLE'. The truth is welfare does not pay nearly enough to make a decent life........just like social security and other so called 'safety' net programs. Its crap......and most welfare recipients find ways to supplement their income thru both legal and illegal means. I suggest you do some research on the subject.........and find out the truth.. Because I am in my 7th decade I know from cultural observation what our society was like before welfare hit it. Right. LOL. Like whites knew back when you were a kid how blacks lived. Again, do some research on the subject. The truth will free you.
