What this says to me is that the kids raised in the City of Richmond, Calif in 1965, even though mostly from lower economic classes (but not being supported by a single parent on a welfare check) were sufficiently intact by the time they got to a California CC to be able to learn how to support themselves. What would be interesting to know is how many California kids today from single parent households living on welfare could do the same. Somebody somewhere should be keeping track of this.
