I am not an American and I think cities are bad. :) A house with a yard and greenery always trumps an apartment and public transport.

Most American cities have both apts and single family homes. So I really don't think that's what colors Americans perception of cities.

But I agree that suburbs are better place to be than exurbs right now. And it might continue in direction towards cities.

Yeah, I think the exurbs are taking it on the chin.
