The answer, IMHO, is that Democrats have a welfare constituency they have to please.... What is so unexpected in this when you also have a Tea Party constituency that folks have to please and these Tea Party Congressfolks are holding a gun to the head. Or else why would you have Tea Party folks cheering Palin (who lost) when she attacks a elected Governor in Chris Christie because of his stand on deficits and immigration. So let us talk results not the sham politics and analysis. That is bureaucratic.
