JDN -

While I do admit that I would be plenty happy if APM hit $13, I do not think that the last week has been spent "discouraging longs for thier own devious purposes" Didn't we all learned a lot about the DD head business last week? Isn't it logical to hear arguments from the longs AND the shorts about a stock. You can continue to stick your head in the sand and "wish" this stock higher, but in the end you will fail if you keep to yourself.

As individual investors we are competing against reams of ANALysts and "big time" MMs ho have much better access to the pulse of the market. We will be more successful if we learn from each other, even if we've taken a different position on a particular stock.

I for one hope that we continue to discuss the merchant head market in as much detail as I've seen during the past few days. I just wish we could see such good debate in the merchant media threads as well. (Maybe I should short STMD or KMAG next week and stir up the masses) There is too much info and data out there to try and digest it all yourself.

I thank everyone on this thread who has participated in helping me understand the inner-workings of APM.

Short, but happy to enter into a good debate. Knowledge is power.

I was long on the stock until this morning. If you check my posts last week, it will be obvious I supported the stock. I just reversed positions and am now shorting an even higher quantity than I was long. The useful comments here, plus my own research, leads me to believe there will be disastrous news out of APM in the next month. Depending on what Brian hears from' APM, I may short even more.

The biggest benefit of these threads for me is to hear all sides of the story. As far as I am concerned there is a reason the longs have not been as vocal as the shorts recently. That reason is that there is much more evidence to support the short viewpoint at this time

Many thanks to the many people (long and short) who provided information on this thread.

Ken

Is there anyone on this board besides Sankar who isn't pursuing a personal agenda discouraging longs ....

I am long APM.

I have an understanding of the business from and engineering,
manufacturing and technical side. I am contributing what I know in an attempt to learn, help others, and resolve inconsistencies.

I have no ability to predict which way the stock is going to go.
