It's funny the same thing - an alleged racially based snub - happened twice to Oprah in snooty Euro stores. Is it racism or just snootiness that could happen to anyone ... especially a monolingual American? Also in the first instance, Oprah seemed to think the store should let her shop after hours and I think she, no doubt, arrogantly thought the clerks should know who she is. Snootiness all around.
