Christine, you should spend less time worrying about how others may offend people, even though we lesser mortals do hope to achieve the heights of moral perfection which you graciously demonstrate for our edification.

Maybe if you actually read some books on the subject of American history and slavery, instead of trying to rely on whatever you find on the internet, you could substitute knowledge for the moralistic posturing that you currently employ. As for the economics of slavery, which you believe was a source of very cheap labor, you might read Time on the Cross to learn something a bit more realistic. And any title by Eugene Genovese is worth reading. But I'm really not interested in responding to your attempts to impugn me when I object to your simplistic renditions of history. Save the moral posturing for someone who is impressed by it. I prefer reasoned and informed arguments.
