Separately, MRV announced that despite uncertain economic conditions in Asia-Pacific, the company is encouraged by its current prospects in the region. MRV's business in Asia-Pacific accounted for approximately 14% of total revenues in the past quarter, derived mostly in Japan and Korea. Despite the positive outlook from MRV, I think the market is still going to be very leery of any companies doing a significant amount of business in Asia-Pacific. This, coupled with tax-loss selling, could be what's weighing down the stock price. The consolation for those long, of course, is that MRV appears to be doing well despite the crisis abroad. Given time, this will be reflected in the stock price. - Peter B
