Media Target the Powerless; Protect Powerful Liars, Bigots & Race Hoaxers
.......................................................................................
breitbart ^ | 8/14/13 | John Nolte

Last month, a wealthy movie and television star took to Twitter to hurl homophobic slurs at a gay reporter, and to urge his million-plus followers to commit acts of violence against the man. Last week, a nobody -- a jester, a clown, a performer performing at a rodeo, donned a Barack Obama mask and joked about having a bull attack him.

Today, after much of the media chose not to report on Alec Baldwin's reprehensible behavior, he is in talks to join NBC News.

Meanwhile, the clown has been banned for life, the president of the organization that hired him has been forced to resign, and the powerful NAACP is demanding a full investigation.

Earlier this week, on the pages of Politico, a powerful Hollywood director smeared rural whites as racists with the bigoted and provably false claim that they would not see a film with an all black cast.

Three decades ago, a woman who is now 66 years-old and once hosted a cable cooking show, used the N-word.

Today, Lee Daniels can be seen all across the media landscape in softball interviews asking him about his Oscar chances with "The Butler." He has never once been challenged on his bigoted beliefs.

Meanwhile, a national media frenzy has destroyed Paula Deen and everything she worked for.

Last week, a nobody shopgirl was globally defamed after one of the most powerful people in the world publicly accused her of racism.

Today, Oprah Winfrey's tale of being victimized by this shopgirl has completely collapsed.

Meanwhile, the media are too busy talking about Winfrey's Oscar chances to vindicate this poor shopgirl's honor or to hold Winfrey accountable for her behavior.

Last month, even after all the evidence proved race had absolutely nothing to do with the fatal shooting of a Florida teenager, a sitting president and the architect of the Tawana Brawley race hoax teamed upto falsely claim it did.

Today, Barack Obama and Al Sharpton are hailed by the media as the new face of civil rights, even though the fallout of their dishonesty included dozens of acts of racial violence and lawlessness.

Meanwhile, George Zimmerman has been forced into hiding for fear of his life.

Last year, a sitting president and secretary of state falsely accused a nobody filmmaker of causing a riot that resulted in four American deaths at a diplomatic outpost in Libya. An unquestioning media ran with the story and the filmmaker became a worldwide pariah.

The worldwide notoriety would result in the hapless filmmaker being arrested in the dead of night (on a parole violation).

Today, we know the film had nothing to do with the terror attack in Libya.

We also know that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were aware of that at the same time they were calling for the filmmaker's head.

Obama and Clinton falsely scapegoated an innocent man to cover up their own incompetence and to win an election. The American media have responded (with very few exceptions) only by doing everything in their power to protect them.

Today, after almost a year in prison, that nobody filmmaker lives in hiding for fear of his life.

Meanwhile, the media are eagerly prepping Hillary Clinton's coronation as the next president of the United States.

GOP lawmaker invites rodeo clown who mocked Obama to perform in Texas
By Justin Sink - 08/14/13 04:29 PM ET

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) invited the rodeo clown who sparked controversy by donning a mask of President Obama at the Missouri State Fair to preform in Texas, his office said Wednesday.

“Liberals want to bronco bust dissent. But Texans value speech, even if its speech they don’t agree with,” Stockman said in a statement. “From Molly Ivins to Louie Gohmert and every opinion between, Texans value free and open political speech. I’m sure any rodeo in Texas would be proud to have [the] performers.”

According to news accounts, the rodeo clown put on the Obama mask before being chased by bulls around a pen, leading to condemnations from a bipartisan group of lawmakers, including Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) and Republican Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder. He was introduced by an announcer who asked the audience if they wanted to see “Obama run down by a bull.” But Stockman dismissed the reaction as "straight out of Alinsky."

"They want to crush dissent by isolating and polarizing anyone who questions Obama, even if it’s a rodeo clown with a harmless gag,” said Stockman. “The idea to create a state of fear and make people afraid to trivialize Obama. No one tried to personally destroy the rodeo clown who wore a George H.W. Bush mask.”

The performer has been permanently banned from performing at the Missouri State Fair, and officials have mandated sensitivity training for future performers. Stockman seized on that mandate in extending his invitation to preform in Texas.

“Disagreeing with speech is one thing. Banning it and ordering citizens into reeducation classes for mocking a liberal leader is another,” Stockman said. “Liberals have targeted this man for personal destruction to create a climate of fear.”

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said earlier Wednesday the flap was " not one of the finer moments" for his home state of Missouri, although said he had not spoken about the incident with the president.

It's not the first time Stockman has looked to seize on controversy. The Texas lawmaker invited Ted Nugent as his guest to the State of the Union after the rocker was criticized for his claim that he would "be dead or in jail" if the president was reelected.

Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America (GOA) deserves credit for going on the CNN Piers Morgan program on December 18 and calmly and rationally taking the arrogant British host completely apart. The exchange is a classic in terms of Pratt debunking every tired liberal claim about “gun control” and noting that the real solution is more security and putting weapons in the right hands for their deterrent and safety value. Morgan came across as a bully who was confronted and exposed as a stupid coward.

At the school, Pratt noted, the adults and children were “reduced to waiting to be murdered.” It appears that the killer did away with himself only when he realized the police were coming after him. By then, 26 people were dead.

Losing the argument, the British import finally resorted to name calling and insults. But Pratt had the last laugh, ripping Morgan’s “role model,” the Hitler-appeaser and “Peace in Our Time” British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. His point was that you meet force with force, a lesson that Britain, America and the allies realized during World War II.

“You’re an unbelievably stupid man, aren’t you?” Morgan said to Pratt. But Pratt calmly responded, “It seems to me you are morally obtuse. You seem to prefer being a victim to being able to prevail over the criminal element. I don’t know why you want to be the criminal’s friend.”

The CNN transcript of the show is interesting, however. Here is what it shows as the exchange was coming to an end:

MORGAN: ...It’s down to idiots like you. Mr. Pratt, thank you for joining me. When we come back -

PRATT: Thank you for your high-level argument, Mr. Morgan. It’s really good.

MORGAN: You know what, you wouldn’t understand the meaning of the phrase high-level argument. You are a dangerous man espousing dangerous nonsense. You shame your country.

PRATT: Disarmament is dangerous. (INAUDIBLE) into role model.

The alleged “inaudible” part of the exchange was when Pratt said, “Disarmament is dangerous. Ask Neville Chamberlain, your role model.” It can be heard as the interview was winding down. But CNN, for some reason, didn’t want that final zinger to be on the official transcript. Or perhaps the transcriber didn’t know who Neville Chamberlain was.

Million Muslim March Planned in DC on 9/11 Anniversary...

A group called The American Muslim Political Action Committee ( AMPAC) is planning a one million Muslims march to Washington D.C. on September 11th. The timing of the group's march is seen by many as tasteless (to say the least) considering it is scheduled for the anniversary of the worst domestic massacre in American history perpetrated in the name of Islam.AMPAC ups the tasteless quotient by issuing "demands" for the American government:

We at AMPAC (American Political Action Committee) are planning an historic event for 9.11.13 where one million Muslims will march to Washington D.C. and demand that our civil rights be protected by our government. We are demanding that laws be enacted protecting our 1st amendment . We are asking President Obama to fulfill his promise from his first campaign for Presidency of a transparent government. Lastly we are asking for the release of the 9/11 commission report to the American people.
The group seems to rationalize the date chosen for their march by claiming that the media has been lying to the American people with regard to the role Islam played in the 9/11 attacks:

On 9.11.01 our country was forever changed by the horrific events in New York. The entire country was victimized by the acts done on that day. Muslim and Non Muslim alike were traumatized but we as Muslims continue 12 years later to be victimized by being made the villains. To this day every media outlet and anti Islamic organization has committed slanderous and libel statements against us as Muslims and our religion of Islam.Yet our Government either sits idly by and does nothing to protect our freedoms or it exacerbates the problem with its constant war on terrorism in Islamic countries, congressional hearings on Islam in America, and its changes to the NDAA law. These lies told to the American population has made it impossible for us to do true Dawa. Why do we have to defend our religion while doing Dawa? Why can’t we just share the perfection of the Quran and the beauty of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SWS)?

The US is no longer fighting a war against muslim terrorists; instead it is fighting an ideological war against Americans.

Jake Tapper: Obama learned extent of Egypt violence Thursday morning
...........................................................................................
By ASHE SCHOW | AUGUST 15, 2013
washingtonexaminer.com

CNN correspondent Jake Tapper said that President Obama was only informed of the extent of the... CNN host Jake Tapper said President Obama's decision to speak about the violence in Egypt on Thursday came after a phone call that morning where he was informed about the severity of the situation.

Tapper said the news came from a senior White House official, who said Obama was briefed on the situation by National Security Adviser Susan Rice on Wednesday. Apparently, the woman who had blamed the September 11, 2012, attack on Benghazi on a Youtube video did not fully inform the president during his vacation about the violence taking place in Egypt.

"But this morning, the president had a phone call, a principals meeting with Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Secretary of State John Kerry, and the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper," Tapper wrote. "It was during that briefing that the president heard about the severity of the violence in Egypt. That conversation motivated him to come out Thursday, and call for calm."

So the current situation in Egypt, in which over 500 people have been killed and that has been all over the news the past two days is just reaching the president of the United States now?

"If Jake Tapper is right, then the president would be well-served to seek information from other sources besides Susan Rice, who somehow failed to recognize the attack on the Benghazi diplomatic mission as terrorism for many days after the attack last year," wrote James Phillips of the Heritage Foundation. "But he chose to promote her for her political loyalty despite her foreign policy errors."

Obama has not had the best track record when it comes to Egypt. His call for the removal of former President Hosni Mubarak helped usher in Mohamed Morsi, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

"I think the president realizes that what is going on in Egypt exposes the wishful thinking of his administration about the prospects for stable democracies emerging from the ashes of the 'Arab Spring' rebellions and he was in no hurry to admit that his administration once again is behind the curve in reacting to events," Phillips wrote.

Obama's response to the violence in Egypt consisted of ending a joint military exercise with Egypt. No efforts to cut aid were outlined.

Knife-wielding burglar bruised and battered by 72-year-old retired boxer
...............................................................................................

Frank Corti posing for the camera

23-year-old Gregory McCalium, bit off more than he could chew when he threatened 72-year-old retired boxer, Frank Corti.

When McCalium forced his way into Corti’s house, he had no idea what he was getting himself into. Corti may be advanced in age, but he still means business.

Corti, who lives in Botley, Oxford, served with the Royal Engineers in North Africa from 1956-58 and had years of boxing experience, McCalium only had half a plan and a knife.

McCalium lunged with his blade, but Corti was quick. He dodged and punched the intruder in the face, giving him a black eye and a swollen lip. After McCalium was down for the count, Corti kept him restrained until police arrived.

Gregory McCalium, also posing for the camera.

“I was scared when he first drew the knife, but my old training must have kicked in because I just punched him as hard as I could and he went down like a sack of spuds. If you can’t defend what’s yours, where are we at?” Corti said after the case.

McCalium denied his charges and claimed he was suffering from acute amnesia, in other words, he didn’t want to admit he just got put in his place by an unarmed 72-year-old.

The judge gave McCalium a 4-and-a-half-year prison sentence for aggravated burglary, telling him he had “got what he deserved.”

Corti has more than a little time in the ring. Here he shows his various trophies.

Display of Robert E. Lee Portrait Called Racist by Local NAACP
..............................................................................................................

by Tony Lee 14 Aug 2013
breitbart.com

The NAACP in Lee County, Florida wants to picket the county over a portrait of General Robert E. Lee that hangs in the commission chambers because they deem displaying Lee's image to be racist. "It's a symbol of racism and division," Lee County NAACP President James Muwakkil said.

According to Fox 4, "Muwakkil sent a letter to Lee County commissioners in early July, asking them to take down the portrait, but they voted to keep it up."

On Sunday, Muwakkil fired off an email saying, "General Lee did not believe blacks should hold any positions in government."

Muwakkil is reportedly "brainstorming with the state NAACP President ways to move forward, which could include a sit-in at the chambers, picketing and protesting." The state NAACP is supporting Muwakkil's efforts.

District Two Commissioner Cecil Pendergrass, a Lee County native, does not think the portrait of the Civil War general is divisive or racist.

"It's history, it's part of history of Lee County," Pendergrass told Fox 4. "There's a statue of him, a portrait, a Confederate uniform on Lee Street."
