NPR’s Michele Norris Hosts cocktail party for Obama at her Martha’s Vineyard home

The lines between the liberal media and the Obama White House became a little more blurred when it was reported that National Public Radio host Michele Norris hosted an evening cocktail party for the Obamas at her home in Martha’s Vineyard on Monday evening.

Norris is married to Broderick Johnson, who served as an adviser to Obama during the 2012 campaign. She resigned from NPR when her husband went to work for Obama in October 2011, and returned to the taxpayer subsidized network in February 2013 after her husband’s stint ended.

Thanks to Norris, we have yet another example of just how firmly the media have been in the tank for Obama for the last several years.

Family of 8-year-old boy killed in Boston bombings share first picture of his sister who lost a leg when she was able to return home at last

Daily Mail on August 15, 2013 By Lydia Warren

<Excerpt>

Grinning confidently as she shows off her new prosthetic leg, seven-year-old Jane Richard is the picture of determination in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

The little sister of eight-year-old Martin Richard - the youngest victim of the Boston bombings - today revealed her inspirational recovery as her family broke their silence to speak out about their loss.

Exactly four months since losing their son, Bill and Denise Richard, from Dorchester, Massachusetts, said that they still feel the agony of Martin's death every hour of every day.

But they added that they are inspired by the bravery of little Jane, who lost a leg and needed 12 surgeries after she was hit by the blast as she cheered on runners at the finish line with her family.

They released the heartwarming photograph showing Jane smiling as she stands on her new leg, which she uses with the help of crutches.

When she was discharged from hospital a few weeks ago, the family returned home for the first time since April 15; they had made a pact not to sleep there until the family could return together.

'As so many things have been, returning home without Martin certainly made that important milestone bittersweet, but we know he was with us, as he is every moment of every day,' the family said in a statement released on Thursday.
