As to turning back tides, find another metaphor. That happens all the time. In places where tidal change is extreme, that can be used to generate power. Which reduces the peak tide.
And wind generators can turn back the wind, right? LOL ...

Yeah, forced ultrasounds is just plain wrong. Doesn't matter if its meant to reduce abortions. It's not government's job to try and appeal to a guilty conscience.

Either that, or people who drive too much should be forced to watch "An Inconvenient Truth."
