Current short interest is at an all time high of 105,000(approx 0.6% of float ; an all time high. That might explain some of the recent activity.

Regards!

Re: Late December close, is that 1997 or 1998? When did he originally pick VLNC?

Based on your info, no doubt a lot of institutional investors have VLNC on their radar screens. Just need to get some official word out of the company! Also, Jacelyn's post that the California Stock Letter included VLNC in its discussion on lithium polymer batteries is very positive, as its starting to show up on more people's radar screen. And yes, kinda glad that it wasn't a recommendation of Murphy as some of his picks stink. Same holds true for Red Chip review. Good to see that they're included in a review, but not all of Red Chips reviewee's perform all that well after their review. In fact, if it weren't for IOM, they'd be pretty average. BUT, the fact is is that VLNC is receiving more press, better or worse, and we can expect more volatility to accompany it, for better or worse (worse as we've experienced as of late).

Do you, or anyone else here, have a copy of the Red Chip review's or the Calf. Stock Letter report on Valence? I know that there are copyright issues, but would appreciate a copy of it if you (or anyone else) finds it in your heart to pass on the good word. (I'll send you a case of beer, for good will.)

Trading today was pretty dismal. Looks like it wanted to go up, but had not umph! Let's hope it's the calm before the stor....I mean, before the rainbow!

You sure they are all refering to VLNC? Could it be the technology is what they fell is a winner and VLNC just one of the players? Was there a specific reason why VLNC would benefit?

I'm starting to feel this sector is more and more like the biotechs. The winners will be real big winners and losers big losers, not much in the middle.
