BREAKING STORY!!!!! Peter Vecsey (#1 Basketball columnist and NBC Commentator) is reporting in the NY POST (Sunday edition) that Rick Barry (MAJOR NBA Hall of Famer ('87) one of the 50 greatest players ever!), will be named the new coach of the NJ Shorecats Basketball Team (USBL Team!!!). Vecsey reports that there will be a news conference Tuesday to name Barry. If there is going to be a press conference, then there should be lots of publicity and media coverage. Stock became public only 18 months ago. In the 504-D the number of shares issued was 240,000 at $2.50 (total 3.4 M shares outstanding). At most there is 240,000 in the float (a lot of this has already been purchased.) Judging from the trading there are probably some market makers that are short inventory and we will have to decide at what point we want to sell them stock. Owning stock in USBL is like owning a whole league (not just a team) because as franchise values go up, the increase goes to the shareholders (us). Looks like good things are happening - stay tuned!!
