I think hate is probably too strong a word. It is easy to see why CEOs can feel pulled around by the nose by the analysts. If a major broker/investment banker holds a hig-tech analysts meeting, either the CEO or CFO or both usualy are compelled to attend. Then its often the practice for them to give out their direct phone numbers and invite lengthy calls to educate each one of them seperately. All this to keep the analysts happy so that they won't trounce the stock for some reason, say just because one or more of their competitors is having problems.
