They cant compete with cable modem to the homes. Their pricing is outrageous. At that rate even I would get into the business.

I see this as good news. Hit the corporate customers first with the higher rates, build up your customer base, slowly lower the rates, and then bring in the residential business.

I like the backing, too.

The swell is just beginning to form and by January-February, the waves should be ready to break. "Surf's up," indeed!

Check out today's LATimes business section for the 8-page ad for IBM's e-Commerce. You'll see Integrion mentioned on page three as the partnership formed by IBM, and 16 of North America's largest banks, and VISA/USA. They provide the backbone for Internet banking and electronic commerce.

Through IBM's e-commerce success we get a glimpse of where the Net's going.

I find it absolutely fascinating, and, of course, the more the Internet proliferates, the more users will clamor for speed.
