Just watched a CNN footage on Egyptian soldiers shoot at a unarmed Egyptian youth who was standing with both his arms raised in front of the tank. This is outrageous.. Time for US to work with UN and Arab League for them to intervene and get the military out of Egypt. The US should stop aid to prevent the military to use the money to fund their strong arm tactics. I believe your first instincts were the correct one. I think the US needs to stay out of it. Democracy is a learning process. The Egyptian people asked the military to intercede. Actions have consequences. Democracy is a learning process that rarely happens overnite.
