CajunTrader is on the right track. IVX is losing a bundle on its non-core businesses. Especially Johnson Products which is into cosmetics. 11 months ago they declared it a discontinued operation. But the stuff is still in the stores (obviously not discontinued).
Nor has the business been sold. I think the SEC gives them 12 months to do something (close it or sell it) after declaring a segment discontinued. IVX has one month to go before Johnson Products losses start effecting operating income. So next year could be an even bigger loser. Because of the losses from its non-core businesses, IVX has no money to develope ANDAs therefore they can't grow the generic business. They have received only one ANDA recently (based on their press releases). >>
