That is really an amazing factoid.

It illustrates the absurdity of taking an aggressive regulatory stance toward coal.

Throw in the trend toward TVs in every room and more electric vehicles on the roads and it is clear that we need every watt that coal, solar, wind, hydro, natgas, nukes and oil can provide.

every liberal greenie should do the thought experiment of "what happens if coal goes away today?". It would mean that many millions would start living agrarian subsistence lives and many millions would flat out die.
