victoria is an exceptionally 'walkable' town....so is vancouver (although on a much larger scale)

butchart gardens is very 'commercial' but i still consider it a 'must see' if you are a plant lover, very much worth the price of admission...the little water 'taxis' in victoria harbour are great! they look so funny zipping along the water...love them

we took the port angeles ferry returning to the us, and drove the olympic peninsula, unfortunately, the trip back was not nearly as leisurely as the trip 'getting there' and only had time to spend one night...we stayed at the kalaloch lodge

only space for 3 (very small RV's) but the cabins were right on the beach with spectacular views
