Go on any conservative thread- you'll find most of the folks are old farts swilling down medicare and social security, and they'll swear they "earned" it all- and they're 100% against "socialists". Freaking takers. It wouldn't be so bad if they just fessed up to being takers and expressed a little love for the government that was supporting their wrinkled old asses, but they don't..... Never mind that "old farts swilling down medicare and social security" applies to her thread as much as any other. "Freaking takers." What selfishness! Why should a liberal resent the elderly taking advantage of the social programs generous liberals have provided? Don't liberals have big hearts? ;>) Now I realize this person won't be able to get social security herself and due to the years she spent out of the workforce will likely have to keep working for decades more to take retirement while her husband and friends retire before her ... I can understand she'd feel bad looking forward to that. Too bad her husband wouldn't buy her some years of service back when it was cheap. If its done early enough, a few thousand pitched in will buy a years service toward retirement. Do that for a few years and she could have looked forward to retiring in a few years. She should probably resent that too.
