My point, which you missed was that liberals have always had it hard as they have opposed societies antiquated norms and mores.

Detroit has been under ultra liberal rule for 50 years and we see the result f that. Last night I was flipping cable channels and I happened upon Robocop which was produced late 80.s early 90's. They featured Detroit as a burned out haven for thugs, miscreants and criminals - prophetic. I knew a lot of "hippies" in the 60's and 70's most of them were apolitical and just wanted to get f'dup and laid. I guess Manson was one of your liberals as well....

Are society's norms and mores antiquated? Families are falling apart in America. So why should we think the all the social changes are good overall?

a liberal kid in a Mormon family will not fare well, etc.

How about a conservative kid in a liberal family?
