Good Morning Don,

Our buddy G was the man who made it all very clear to me,that Intc is an excellent candidate to accumulate more of.

This article that G posted was made way back in May and has very credible logic IMHO.

seekingalpha.com

Now some 4 months later we are hearing of Samsung using intc chips in tablet and verticle stacking of processors and memory.

This for the next foreseeable future will be what the buzz is about.

Battery charge is retained by verticle stacking - which stops electrical leaks of low voltage circuits.

This manufacturing technique was also just mentioned by James Donahue in Cohu's last CC.

Luckily for Cohu it results in a nother test step.A test is performed on the memory side and the application processor side before they are joined AND THEN A NEW TEST STEP IS MADE AFTER THEY ARE JOINED .

For Cohu new test steps equal demand for new handlers.

Since these are found in the new mobility devices - they are experiencing great growth and unit volume will continue as price point reductions continue to occur.

This month there where more smart phones sold than regular cell phones a substantial growth area indeed.

Tablets are a bit below that rate but also experiencing great growth - the combination almost makes the growth rate seem exponential!

Thanks goes to G for remarkable contributions to this thread!!

Bob
