[ YHOO Ascending Triangle ] Sorry Eakole, but I just don't share your observations with regard to the Ascending Triangle on YHOO.

"...Trace the ascending trend line (support) from JUL, to mid AUG, to mid OCT to the now Trend line (resistance) in NOV..."

I may not be clear on your drawing patterns of the trendline, but it almost seems that you are drawing lines right through the bars if you're drawing a line from support to resistance--which is not the way I typically draw them.

Anyways, the Rising Wedge is different from an Ascending Triangle in that the upper boundary is continually rising...alongside the lower boundary. Here in YHOO's case, there is more or less a firm upper boundary established from mid-October to a few days ago, which classifies this as an Ascending Triangle.

This is where I am referring to the formation of the bullish pattern. There may be other differing interpretations of what I see, but the manner and method I use with regard to this specific pattern has not disappointed me in recent or distant memory. You can ask Ray about my recommendations based on this pattern, and I think he'll agree that they have had favorable outcomes.

Regards,

Rainier
