Thanks, RtS!

My view is more that I think it's easier to book profits for the next 5 or 8 weeks going into the next earnings season than it will be buying the dips, unless we get a huge dip. This latest move was fairly severe for a 4 day move, so it's not at all surprising that we've bounced. Might even get a few follow through days but with light volume and the end of the main summer season upon us, I just get the feeling that it will be easier for the market to drift lower than higher.

I actually hope I'm wrong but I think the long term market will be healthier going forward were we to back off another 3 to 5% over the next month. Maybe yesterday will end up being the worst of it and it's off to the races once again? I think I'd rather see the bears get all frothy and foaming at the mouth before we head back up.....

Nothing really to trade on but I just get the feeling there will be some more down soon.

I'm back after a short and very fun trip to Canada.

Amazing all the building and construction going on in Toronto!

After a few minutes browsing what's been going on the past few days, looks like the market is trying it's best to take advantage of the light volumes to push around different sectors.

While the issues in Syria are worrisome, they appear to be clouding over a whole lot of solidly positive economic data. With this as the backdrop, I still stand by my statement a few days back that the (very) short term path of least resistance is down (due to profit taking). The media will spin the drops as more sinister than they are, IMO.

Hope all are well and trading profitably!

I will probably take the rest of the week to reevaluate the charts and trends. Quite a few opportunities are showing up on the periphery.... time to stalk and take advantage!!
