I agree, although I myself don't trade anymore and have put together a couple of systems that have been backtested, one over a 5 year period another over a 10 year period. The 10 year backtested system is based on the closing price so it is a bit more difficult get out in realtime and as of now I'm using delayed quotes. In the near future I will be getting live data and that will definitely help in both systems especially the 5 year system as the signals generated are done intraday. Putting out the signals in a timely fashion has some creditability to it IMO. "That is why I think publishing an actual portfolio performance number like I do and GZ does in the header is a must for anyone you want to take seriously. Without numbers, it is just noise to get on TV and sell stuff I think," I could be wrong, and I totally agree with your Gold perspective. Another difference is my signals are only for futures. -g-
