Diamcor Mining (DMI-V) an emerging producer of rough diamonds, announces that it has recovered the first gem quality “special” diamond in the +10.8 carat category from its Krone-Endora at Venetia Project (“Krone-Endora” or the “Project”). The recovery of the 91.65 carat gem quality octahedron diamond occurred during the ongoing commissioning and processing being performed on material in the +1.0mm to -26.0mm size fraction. The Company is in the process of having the diamond assessed by an independent expert for quality and colour characteristics, but anticipates this is the most significant diamond recovered to date from the Project.

“We are very pleased with the recovery of a diamond of this size and quality, which again confirms the potential of the Project to produce large quality diamonds”,
commented Mr. Dean Taylor, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. In addition to its overall size, its’ near perfect octahedron shape is extremely rare and not typically seen in diamonds of this size”, Mr. Taylor added. As previously announced on August 6, 2013, the installation of a final crushing circuit at the main plant is underway to further increase the effective processing of larger size material. Once complete in the coming weeks, the Company plans to further advance the testing and processing of all material up to 45.0mm in size.

It should be noted that these testing recoveries and sales do not form part of the initial NI43-101 Technical Report filed by the Company on July 30, 2009, and thus no grade, price, or quality determination is intended by the Company due to the nature and purpose of the processing of this material at this time.
