Splinter said a number of things that are hard to forget!!

Today's analyst blip:

Northland Capital Markets initiated coverage on Applied Materials (NASDAQ: AMAT) with a Outperform rating and a price target of $19.00.

Analysts said, "We are positive on the capital spending cycle for 2014 and the industry timing for new technology inflection points also favor AMAT's product portfolio. In addition, we think the recent leadership changes have started a positive cultural change that should help the market share revival. Finally, we think profitability will start to improve as AMAT exits from their ill-fated EES initiatives."
