A number of SI members have registered a complaint on the dropdowns issue. Why do you suppose SI has been totally unresponsive on this issue, especially on giving us an option to eliminate the annoying dropdowns?

I hate the drop downs so much that I almost quit SI because of them.
Maybe the developers don't use iPads.

I haven't the least notion. I've joined the chorus of complainers several times but it's all been for naught.

That would make sense - to have the choice to opt out. I guess the option is to go to the bottom of the page and use the blue band, which doesn't have the drop down menus.
