He cut tons of government jobs. Not his initiative, he just couldn't get the money from congress to expand government employment. He increased government spending, and would have increased it more if the Republicans had not taken control of the house. Not that "conservative" is the same as "libertarian", but conservatives believe in some sort of limitation for the state (esp. domestically), while Obama not only expands it, he expands it outside of its traditional and constitutional limitations.
