Ted, PTUS stated, similar to SEEC who I just got off the phone with, that Once the conversion was completed a % of the code needed to be corrected manually.

SEEC (412) 682-4991, I talked to Dorean the California Sales rep.

1. Q. Can your toolset automatically convert code ?

A. Yes.

2. Q. Okay, what percentage of the code can be converted automatically, That is, can you convert 100% of the code or is there some percentage that remains which needs to be addressed through manual intervention once the conversion is complete?

A. Well, we don't have a standard percentage, it varies from platform to platform, but in general there will remain some code that needs to be converted manually.

3. Q PTUS, for example, says that on average 5% of the code needs to be converted through some kind of manual intervention, do you have any kind of percentage that I can use for comparison basis?

A. I really don't have a specific number or percentage I can give you.
Our toolset can automatically convert the code and those occurrences that can not be are "tagged" so they can be addressed.

4. Q. So, in general you would say that your toolset can automatically convert almost all of the code, however after the conversion process is complete some code will remain that needs to be addressed with manual intervention. You don't have any specific percentage because if varies from platform to platform.

A. Yes.

Looks like SEEC, as does PTUS, requires some percentage of code to be converted manually.
