Ivan,

Looking at TSEMF again, I realize that the data for the last two hours on 11/12 is missing. It appears that following the rules I set down in my first post that I would have entered early on 11/13 at 10 3/16 and got whipsawed out that day possibly as low as 9 3/4. OUCH!

I've been extending the rules for a signal day to allow for next morning entry if the volume and new price low qualify for the previous day. May not be wise, it certainly wouldn't have worked out well for TSEMF on 11/13.

ACTM: "Do you agree that ACTM gave a clear signal on 11/11?" Yes, I do. And here we might be on different pages, because I'm not sure I understand what triggers the sell signal. If I do understand correctly, ACTM gave it a few days ago when a second post-gap low violated the trendline drawn between the signal day's low and the following (higher) low.

I read it the same way. On 11/19 the second higher low was established and I had us out on 11/25 per my original post on the study. Maybe the confusion results from my looking for a second higher low after 11/19 that is still equal to or greater than the low of the signal day, for reentry. Maybe that also is not a good idea. What do you think? Is breaking the higher low a sin that cannot be forgiven until a new signal day is generated?

What do you think about playing the cats with the intraday charts immediately following the signal day? Seems to me this reduces the risk of getting involved in a free falling cat before it's shown enough resilience to make a higher low, yet still play it at a time with real profit potential.

Look forward to you telling me what I'm doing wrong here

It's great to discuss strategies involving the PGDCEB phenomenon. I've just started with a few ideas, and don't have any set convictions about anything with regard to this. So please continue to point out where I might be going wrong in my thinking.
