To an extent, they are right. The problem isn't the generous incentive not to work, it's the meager incentive to work. You can get a job at Walmart, but you're still going to have to look to the government for help to survive. What's the point? That's humiliating when you're a full time worker.

Raise wages, a lot. Let all citizen share in the country prosperity, not just stockholders. We'll have a higher tax base, less folks taking from the government, a more balanced budget, and a better society where people can live a good life.

Companies may not be quite as profitable... thus the objection from the right. They are 100% bought by corporate US. Most everyone understands that now. That's why they are toast.
