Elcotel will grow from a $22mm company to about $100MM with the merger with TSGI and acquistion of Lucent's payphone business. Also, deregulation makes the business that much more attractive (see today's NYTIMES).
Because the company is (was) small, they did not attract a lot of attention even though it has been a good grower %wise. I believe now they are the largest manufacturers of payphones in the world. It should attract more and more interest if they can grow revenues and earnings like they think they can. One money manager told me today he believes this is one of the best values in the small cap market. However, value does not neccessarily translate into immediate profits.
Maybe an announcement or two will help the price of the stock out.
