The only "facts" Matthew Philips uses in support of his argument come from estimates from the CBO and a couple of hand-picked "economists" who happen to agree with him.

And all of them say the same thing. Government needs to spend more to create more jobs.

Well then why don't we just double taxes and double government spending? Government will create so many new jobs that unemployment will essentially be zero!

Or just double the taxes on the "one percent." Think about how many more jobs you can "create" with the money!

That's a lot easier (and dumber) than trimming the budget a mere 2%, which the sequester proves can be done without killing economic growth.
