I learned a little bit about my son on the consultation with the doctor.

The doctor told him surgery is optional, collarbones will heal regardless of surgery, but there might be limited motion.

My son was horrified at the thought of leaving the bone broken, and I quote "He thinks it is OK to leave a piece of my bone disconnected and hanging in my body. Of course I want surgery to put it back together."

On the bright side he did say that he feels much better after the surgery, so right decision?

On a personal note, near where I am working, is a train track I cross everyday. No bars, lights, bells or anything, just the X's that say RR crossing. Yesterday at lunch, full daylight, coming back after Sonic, I had the music on and I was just thinking about work and driving, kinda zoned out just going back to work.

Suddenly I heard a train horn. I was about 20 ft from this RR crossing and a train was about 10 ft away. Moving. I damn near ran into a train! The conductor just shook his head. Kinda funny. No real danger as I was not going very fast, but I was completely clueless. I am blaming it on the train, it was only 15 cars.
