Agree with all that.

I would add, however, that welfare state, minimum wage, and drug laws all contribute to the violence and the ruinous family situations in inner cities. The minimum wage insures that these teenagers can't find employment. And the EBT cards and drug laws work to provide under-the-table funding for living on the streets.

Idle hands are the devil's workshop and if these kids were having to work for their survival I just don't think we'd be seeing these problems. And if they were working, they would have some motivation to try to escape the poverty which causes the despair in the first place.

The welfare state has served only to keep these people living in poverty their entire lives. And now, they're venting their frustration by killing other people.

I'm not sure how long before the Left figures out its own actions have been counterproductive, and whether they'll have the guts to admit it once it becomes clear to them.
